What can we write? OMR 2022, you were amazing! 70,000 visitors - what felt like 1,000 masterclasses and talks - lots of trade fair, lots of partying - a bit of sensory overload and the digital marketing world's big get-together.

After two long years of waiting, the time had come in May 2022. Hamburg Messe, Online Marketing Rockstars Festival and Welect was right in the middle of it all! We were positively excited. Our first own masterclass F*ck data based targeting: Will the real best targeting please stand up?! and our own stand as a permanent focal point for new and old faces.

Our first masterclass: so much interest, so much good input - now also on demand!

Our masterclass F*ck data based targeting exceeded all expectations. We had to limit 700 registrations to 200 in advance!!! What a shame, but great that so many people were interested. We were a bit nervous, but we were all really looking forward to it and had the feeling that it was well received, our first masterclass. Immediately afterwards, we had lots of great conversations and interested parties and, of course, some interesting questions. Of course, we were particularly pleased that many participants visited us at our small but excellent stand afterwards.

However, it was a great pity that we were unable to welcome all interested parties to our masterclass due to the restrictions.

Olaf (CEO & co-founder of Welect GmbH) talked a bit about the background to the current cookieless issue and data protection, after which Daniel (Sales) showed a few things about ‘non-functioning targeting’ and choice-driven advertising and our placements as well as our advertising effectiveness studies. Britta (Sales) then showed a customer case from congstar at the end, which also says a lot about the strong advertising impact of choice-driven advertising in terms of the figures. Class reunion at the Welect stand - where business, coffee & cold drinks come together

In addition to the Masterclass, our own Welect stand was a very popular point of contact at OMR. There, we welcomed new interested parties, old colleagues and friends for a lively exchange of ideas, which included coffee and a cold drink or two at a later hour. It's not without reason that people talk about a festival at OMR ;)

The only downer was that the stand was quite small for our very high visitor numbers, which is definitely a learning point for further events! Nevertheless, we look back with pride on the two days and countless good conversations and are already looking forward to next year, when it's time again: Welect rocks the OMR!
